What Happens at Your Reveal Celebration
Most photographers deliver your wedding photos as a link. You open it alone, probably on your phone, scrolling through hundreds of images while life keeps happening around you.
We don’t do that. Around eight weeks after your wedding, once your photos and any video are ready, we invite you back to experience them together. Here’s what that actually looks like.
When and Where
Your Reveal Celebration happens around eight weeks after your wedding, once we’ve fully edited everything. The exact timing depends on your schedule and where your date falls in our queue.
If you’re based on Oahu, your celebration takes place in person at our reveal room, a space we built specifically for this. Parents, close family, and friends are more than welcome to join you in the room, and family members who can’t be there in person are welcome to join by Zoom. If you’re getting married from off-island, we host your entire Reveal Celebration over Zoom instead, so you don’t miss the experience because of distance.
Appointments typically run two to four hours, depending on how much time you want to spend with your gallery and how many decisions you want to make that day.
What the Appointment Looks Like
You’ll start with something to eat and drink while you settle in. When you walk into the room, you’ll see printed samples of previous wedding clients on display, along with frame options. It’s a chance to see your own images could look like as art before we ever talk about it.
Then we sit down together and watch a highlight slideshow from your day, the moments you were part of and the ones happening around you that you never got to see. If you booked videography with us, we’ll also watch your wedding film together.
After that, we go through your album. You’ll edit it with us in real time. You can swap the images that matter most and rearrange the order they tell your story in. You’ll be able to adjust anything on the spot until it feels right. Building it together while everything’s still fresh also means it done, instead of sitting untouched for years the way so many wedding albums do.
We’ll also walk through wall art and print options using the samples in the room, so you’re deciding based on what something actually looks like printed and framed, not a guess from a screen.
No Pressure on Additional Orders
We finalize your wedding album together during the celebration, it’s part of what you’ve already booked. If you’d like wall art or extra albums beyond what’s included, there’s no pressure to decide that day. Take whatever time you need, and anything you do order gets shipped to you afterward.
Why We Built It This Way
One of our recent couples walked into the reveal room before we’d said a word about what would happen. The moment of walking in and seeing their wedding on the wall set the tone before the appointment had even begun. Later, once we sat down together for the slideshow, watching the day unfold and catching moments they’d missed the first time around, the emotion hit again. Afterward, the bride told us it was an experience she hadn’t expected at all.
That’s the thing we’ve noticed over and over. Couples don’t remember whether their gallery showed up in an email on a Tuesday afternoon. They remember how it felt the first time they actually saw their wedding again. You only get one first viewing. Once you’ve scrolled through a gallery alone on your phone, that moment is gone. We built the Reveal Celebration to slow that moment down, so you experience it together, the way it deserves to be experienced.
We’ll be in touch as your wedding date gets closer with more details on scheduling your celebration.
