Updated August 13, 2021
Keep in mind that these locations may be temporarily closed or limiting guests due to COVID-19.
Here is a list of locations on Oahu, Hawaii to take your beautiful Hawaii Engagement Photos. From beachy, to woodsy, to a park.
These are our favorite locations and we absolutely love shooting here. If there’s a location you think we should check out, please leave a comment. I’ll be updating this with example images, blog posts, or galleries from these locations.

1. Ko’olina
After high tide on this west side beach, you may be able to find some water in the tidepools to make your Hawaii engagement shoot a fun one! My recommendation is to always go during sunset so you can get photos like this or the first photo on this blog. Pro tip: Park at Lagoon 4 and give yourself ample time to find parking.
2. Aiea Loop Trail
Aiea Loop Trail provides you with beautiful trees in a nature setting you might be looking for. This is a popular location that is one to provide you with amazing photos while providing enough shade. If you’re lucky, the sun rays will come out at just the right angle and will definitely set the mood for any photo shoot.
3. Kaka’ako Waterfront Park
Known for it’s green hills, Kaka’ako is a popular destination to go sliding down hills with cardboard. Now, you may want to take your fiance here to do your Hawaii engagement photos. You’ll be able to find this platform, hills, or (carefully) jump over the rock wall to get a few photos near the ocean.
4. Kualoa Regional Park
Situated across of Chinaman’s Hat on Hawaii’s windward coast, you will find Kualoa Regional Park. Depending on where you are in teh park, you can have an amazing view of the Ko’olau mountain range, Chinaman’s Hat, or the beach. Whichever you decide, I’m sure you’ll love the scenery.
5. Magic Island
Can you have a list of locations for Hawaii Engagement Photos without an iconic Hawaii landmark like Diamond Head in your background? Magic Island, across of Ala Moana, will give you just that. With a beach on one side and a boat harbor on the other, either side of Magic Island will look good.
6. Sherwood/Waimanalo/Bellows Beach
Closing out our list, we have Sherwood/Waimanalo/Bellows Beach. These three neighboring beaches are sure to give you the sand, water, and beautiful backdrop you would be dying for. Once you find a strip of beach that works, I hope you bring the fun under the sun and every now and then, we are lucky enough to get a couple that doesn’t mind getting into the water for a fun end to their engagement photos.
