Wedding Planning Tips

Bridal Details

February 28, 2021

One of our favorite parts on a wedding is capturing the bridal details.  It definitely sets the mood for the rest of the day.  Our team will be running and gunning for the whole day so this is our start.  That’s why we have this blog up to get you ready for the first chapter of the start of your forever. Here is the Bridal Details Checklist!

Bridal Details

  • Invitations
We absolutely love these.  It’s the first thing guests see that is related to your wedding.  Therefore, it’s the first thing we like to see on your wedding day.  For this, include two new invitations!  If you sent out your invitations electronically, don’t worry! We can work with that too!
  • *Bonus: Hired a calligrapher?  Have them write the address on the envelopes for details!brides wedding dress with bridesmaids dresses at mariott koolina in hawaii
  • The Dress!
Of course the dress will be there!  Every bride has thought about her wedding dress even before the engagement!

  • A Wooden Hanger
Most places will give you your dress with a regular old plastic hanger.  A wooden hanger looks better, is more secure, and can even be customized!  You can find sellers on Etsy or you can DIY

  • The Veil
If you have a veil whether it has custom trim or not, be sure to let us know!

  • Shoes
Just like any other shoes, you may want to break these in for a week before your wedding.  Then when it’s time to photograph, we’ll be sure to capture it as elegantly as we can.

  • The Rings – all three of them!
Sometimes there’s some confusion with this, and we’ll let you know again when we plan your timeline.  Have ALL the rings in the brides room when you’re getting ready.  Yes, we know it’ll go to the Best Man eventually.  But we need them in the bride’s room with the rest of the details to start the day.
  • Bouquet
This is another one of those things that can go either way.  If you have fresh flowers, you wouldn’t want them TOO early in the day.  But if you still want them to be captured with the rest of your details, they still need to make it for your bridal details shots.

  • Perfume bottle
This is often overlooked but I would highly recommend finding a perfume you would like to use on your wedding day!  If you ever want to be brough back to your wedding, some say that smell is the strongest sense tied to memory.

  • Jewelry
This includes your necklace, earrings, and hairpiece so of course, you want to have these available for the camera as well.

Last Tip!

When your photographer/videographer arrives to your getting ready location, it’ll be a big help to have all these things readily available.  As your packing your things, have everything you’re wearing in a small bag or shoe box and make keep them all together!  Doing this makes it easy for the photographers/videographers, for you to not have to worry where everything is and for your bridesmaids for not having to find anything that may be misplaced.
